During 2015 Mind Tenants will donate all proceeds from sales of this track to RISE (www.riserefugee.org). RISE are an Australian refugee and asylum seeker welfare and advocacy organisation run by refugees, asylum seekers, and ex-detainees - please feel free to nominate more than $1.

For those not up with current Australian politics....Australia has a long history of boat based arrival of people. In recent years Australian government policy has lead to the incarceration of "boat people" on off-shore tropical detention facilities, including Manus Island in PNG. Many refugees are now faced with years of incarceration, in the name of discouraging further arrivals and appeasing a section of the Australian public.

The title of this song was inspired by the Dead Kennedys classic. Ironically, within weeks of penning Holiday in Manus, the Australian government announced plans to re-settle refugees in Cambodia.
